A virtual presentation on effective communication requirements for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Main Presenter: Leon Loggins began working for OCR as a Research Assistant through OCR’s student internship program the summer of 2004. Leon reviewed applications from hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, rural health clinics, and other covered entities regarding their compliance with federal civil rights laws enforced by OCR for participation in the Medicare Program. In September 2009, Leon converted to an Equal Opportunity Specialist with OCR conducting investigations involving the Privacy, Security, and Breach Notification Rules, as well as Federal civil rights laws covering race, color, national origin, disability, age, or sex, religion, and the exercise of conscience, and other health and human services programs that receive Federal financial assistance from HHS.
Leon currently serves as an Analyst, where he is directly responsible for carrying out a variety of analytical, operational and technical assignments in support of OCR’s programmatic and information system, and management accountability needs.
Leon received his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas, College of Public Affairs and Community Service, and his master’s degree in public administration from Walden University, College of Social and Behavioral Sciences.
